Siempre me ha gustado Paul Gonsalves, desde su solo en Robin Nest en 1948 con Count Basie, hasta C jam Blues de Ellington em 1973, es uno de mis inspiraciones como saxofonista, al igual que Ben Webster y Harold Ahsby... Cada interpretaciĆ³n suya es una joya.

A truly great talent who was largely unrecognized during his lifetime, as indeed were the talents of many other Ellington sidemen where opportunities to demonstrate their instrumental prowess were relatively few. One of the greats on tenor sax still to receive the appropriate recognition.
